Hello!
My name is Elizabeth Askren, and I am here to help.
By being here, you've already taken the courageous step of seeking professional help for an issue you are experiencing. I know this may have been a tough decision. You might have been debating it for months, if not years, already. Or, you may have just today begun considering therapy, made a decision, and here you are.
Regardless, I'm glad you're here.
I'm here to work with you and for you. To help get your life back on the course you want it to be on, and allow you to rediscover what brings you joy and happiness in your life.
Grant yourself permission to have all that life has to offer, and you will discover it has more to offer than you've ever imagined ~ Neale Donald Walsch

Do you tend to walk on eggshells in most situations, persistently concerned about making the wrong step? Do you struggle with seeing your own worth, prioritize the needs of everyone else before your own, frequently find yourself running on fumes? You might be going through a transition in your life, and you are finding it difficult and uncertain. Maybe you are in the middle of a career change and it's bringing up a lot of uncertainty. Or did a relationship recently end in your life and you're ready to rediscover yourself? Have you experienced something traumatic or a loss, and you can't seem to move on?
Humans all struggle with similar thoughts, feelings, and experiences, yet too many suffer unnecessarily, isolated and alone.
Seeking guidance and support can be invaluable. Whether you are considering counseling as a couple or family in conflict, for mental health issues, life transitions, problems relating to others, or are struggling after a loss or traumatic experience(s), I have the training, experience, and desire to support and guide you in this process.
Have you tried therapy in the past, but felt underwhelmed by a lack of long-lasting relief or change? Maybe you learned some helpful tools or tricks, or an insight about a piece of your past, but ultimately, the same wounds and problematic thoughts, feelings, or behaviors which led you to seek therapy continue to impact you and continue to cause suffering. It's possible that working from a different framework in therapy could be beneficial. I've also worked with many people who'd felt betrayed in therapy in the past, ranging from felt judged and dismissed by a therapist, to being betrayed. abused, or exploited by a therapist in the past. If you've tried therapy before, but it hurt you instead of helped you, I would be honored to discuss with you if and how I may help you to heal and benefit from therapy now.
If you are seeking help, a change, or just feel lost, please don't hesitate to call or email today to setup your consultation. You don't have to figure this all out alone.
