Investment
The benefits and value you gain from therapy will not end at our last session – you will carry them with you for the rest of your life when you accomplish the goals and change you desire. When you book an appointment, you are making a commitment to transforming your life because you’re willing to invest in yourself.
2022 Rates/Fees
$350 | Intake/initial evaluation for new clients (75-80 min)
$225 | Individual therapy session (45-50 min)
$395 | Individual extended therapy session (75-80 min)
$425 | Intensive individual therapy session or couple/family session (100-110 min)
$225 | Letters & completion of forms, provider consultations lasting longer than 15 minutes***
***This is my rate to complete such tasks per hour and is charged in 15-min increments. Please note that a minimum of two weeks notice is required when making a request for completion of paperwork, letters, etc. All rush requests will be billed at $400/hour, if I am able to accommodate a rush request at that time.
Please Note:
While my standard session rate is $225/session, I reserve a small number of slots in my practice to offer at a reduced cost. All reduced rate fee requests must be initiated through the Open Path Collective, a non-profit collective of several thousand therapists with individual profiles; every therapist in the collective offers reduced fee options for their services.
You can check if I have reduced rate availability by visiting my profile on Open Path.
If I do not have Open Path availability noted on Open Path, unfortunately that means my reduced rate spots are currently filled. If you are seeking a reduced rate for my services, please check back regularly at my Open Path profile for future availability of reduced fee options. You can also browse dozens of other therapists in the area who offer reduced fee options and current availability for reduced rate openings. Open Path provider profiles provide up-to-date info about each therapist’s reduced rate availability.
Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept all major credit cards, cash, and check. I also accept Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) as payment.
Insurance
I do not accept insurance at this time.
Most of my clients choose to not involve their insurance provider in their treatment. Here are some of the advantages:
- You won’t have a diagnosis label permanently attached to your health record.
- Your records are protected, which means all information about you, including very personal information, cannot be obtained by the insurance company.
- Your care is not dictated by the insurance company, but by the collaborative efforts formed by my professional expertise and your personal preferences and goals.
Many of my clients submit claims on their own through their insurance provider for partial to full reimbursement for fees they’ve paid for my services. I will gladly provide you with documentation for out-of-network benefits claims upon request. Please contact your insurance provider to find out if your plan reimburses for out-of-network providers, any limitations and policies specific to your plan’s coverage, and for guidance on this process if you are considering this option.
Cancellation Policy
When you schedule an appointment with me, I prepare and commit that time to you and no one else. Appointments are reserved at your request and I dedicate that time for you specifically. If you are unable to attend a session, I require cancelations or rescheduling at least 48 hours beforehand. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance or you do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
